Quick Update

Not too much to update this week.  I am excited to that I've booked a CAD Camping trip in Sept.  It should be an awesome trip.  Hoping for good weather.

I went back and looked at my goals for the year, that was one of them.  The other was to get the garage shop in order.  I've gotten some of that done, but I'd definitely like to get more done.  I've done good with going to 9Round for the most part and I'm on track with running.  I'm going to miss a few weeks because I had another skin cancer cut out last week, but I'm planning to run more often to help mitigate that loss of activity.  Summer is always a hectic time.

We have our 18th wedding anniversary tomorrow, looks like we'll spend it at an outdoor swim meet with a 90% forecast for rain.  Lovely right?

A couple weeks ago I took the time to re-read all of my blog entries over the last year.  It's amazing now to look back at where I was and think back about it. One thing I want to do is thank several folks who've been very encouraging over the year, my wife especially for her support and willingness to change our routines to accommodate me not to mention the money we've spent of shoes, trackers and gym memberships.  Also I've greatly appreciated the support from the CAD Brethren , you guys have been awesome particularly Zhunzi and Capwilson.  It's great to know you always have someone in your corner. Also the life coach nutritionist at work has been a great help.  I think going in I kept the circle tight on this journey, because I wasn't sure if I'd flame out like I have a number of other times.  In the last few weeks, I've been amazed at the support from other family and friends who've noticed the weight loss.  I'm very thankful for the su

Eclipse is drawing near

Short update today before I head out Saturday for a long camping weekend.  We've been planning this trip for over a year. We are heading south to view the eclipse on Monday the 21st.  It should be an epic event.  I'm excited about it and not 100% what to expect.  I figure it will be unnerving and I'm confident we'll have a kid flip out and likely an adult. I've stayed the course and I'm down 121 lbs overall which is pretty incredible when I stop to think about it. Soccer season is back as of this week, which puts me back to going to 9Round in the mornings, I've had to shift my work schedule around some so on the days I go to 9Round I haven't been able to start my day with a walk, which means I need to walk in the evenings, but I'm usually at scouts or soccer so that hasn't been an issue. Only 3 weeks in?

Wow I checked back at the blog. Seems like I've been doing this walking thing forever at this point, at least a month or so. However this is only the end of my 3rd full week. Really feels like longer, but it is what it is. I had been walking some at work in the weeks before so maybe in my mind I'm tying that in. Doesn't really matter in the long run, just a thought I had today. Even if it's only 3 weeks in I feel much better, I did skip my walk yesterday morning. I hadn't slept well and when the dog woke me up at 5 I thought let me move my alarm up so I can at least get an hours sleep before work. Guess how that worked out? Anyway I kinda justified it because I was planning to mow after work and that's walking too right? It's a cop out no doubt. I did however track my walk while mowing. (Special shout out to my wife for encouraging me to do that, and also encouraging me over the last 3 weeks as I've started this journey.) Interestingly enough
